I would like to acknowledge the initiative of Philip and Cynthia Oblas for translating to German the wish that Claus Nabert wrote in English. They’re Rhino and Mecky’s son and daughter, respectively. I imagine their parents encouraged them. To Philip, Cynthia, Mecky and Rhino - thank you very much!

Second, to Agnes Abanag for collating the reports of the workshop group discussions.

Third, I would like to thank Consie Taguba-Lozano for the layout. 

To the participants of the 4^th ICBE Consultation, my gratitude for their contributions to the Proceedings. Dr. Caridad Fiar-od collected the materials and wrote the draft, which made up the core of the Proceedings.      

Finally, editing the Proceedings was a journey - from Dublin to the Netherlands. A few paths were difficult; others, mostly easy. I’m volunteering again to edit the Proceedings of the 5^th ICBE Consultation. It will be another journey and I hope you’ll be part of it.
