I have been busy since the conference with work and personal stuff, finally got a chance to read my emails. I am also catching up with my sleep because aside from the late nights and sleepless nights before and during the event, Henry, Ben, Tim, Mark and I were up all night in Tipperary gathered around the makeshift campfire. (Like guards watching the village while the rest of the villagers are enjoying the festivities).
We are very happy that all the delegates are pleased with their stay here in Dublin. It was a beautiful, informative and memorable experience for all of us here in Ireland.
I’m sure everyone can relate to me when I say that I have found old friends, mentors and relatives during and immediately after the conference. Yvonne Belen is my Auntie, my mother-in-law and she are second cousins. It’s funny that unknowingly we talk and emailed each other almost everyday before the start of the conference. Liza Anton was a volunteer paramedic when I was with the Regional Emergency Medical Services stationed in the Baguio City Fire Department. We were together in one of the most tragic fire fighting operation where one of my co fire-fighters was badly injured and almost died. Madam Fely Bongalos is one of my Clinical Instructors when I was in college, it’s funny ‘coz I only found out en route to the airport on her way home. Mrs. Pooten’s sister, Betty, is a very good friend of my mother. And some learned that I am a grandchild of Rev. Alejandrino Rulite, who was the rector of the Church of Resurrection for many years.
We are overwhelmed here in BIBAK-Ireland with the heart warming messages and feedback from all of you. I would like to thank you all for your support and guidance, the success of the event is not only credited to BIBAK- Ireland but to all of us who made their contribution in various ways.
Matago tago tako amin.
