Igorot Invocation Prayer

Lord, almighty, creator of heaven and earth,
We are happy to you for guiding and leading us to this 2nd Igorot European Consultation.
That during our journeys, for those who came from near and far, your blessing is worthwhile for we arrived safe and well.
We thank you Lord as well for giving the strength to our brothers and sisters who with their generous efforts and sacrifice hosted this occasion.
We ask you also Lord to give power and well being for those who were not able to come and join with us during this gathering.
Take those illnesses, diseases and bad temptations away with you and drown them into the ocean where they belong.
Give wisdom to those speakers and to those listeners patience and understanding so that there will be good communication amongst the participants to reach their goal.
We therefore believe in you that in our daily prayers you are the life eternal. This we pray.

Lord, almighty, creator of heaven and earth,
Apo ay Kabunian, nangsapu isnan daya ya nan Batawa
We are happy to you for guiding and leading us to this 2nd Igorot European Consultation.
Maragsakan kami taypinayungam dangka inturong dakammi isnan eng kami makigag yaman isnan naay 2nd Igorot European Consultation.
That during our journeys, for those who came from near and far, your blessing
Dat nan dad-aan mi ay nagapo is as – asagen ya adadawi
is worthwhile for we arrived safe and well.
Nin pudong ka et maid naisagsagaw baken ya naisuksak ba.
We thank you Lord as well for giving the strength to our brothers and sisters
Men pasalamat kami kabunian tay inagtam as pigsa nan
who with their generous efforts and sacrifice hosted this occasion.

Please note that the prayer delivered was not an oggayam rather it was an invocation prayer. An invocation prayer by its very nature is considered more solemn.
Since an oggayam can be delivered in any type of gathering or ceremony however an invocation prayer is an earnest request to the Almighty for His blessings.
