Congratulations to MABIKAS for the splendid 2019 anniversary celebrations! Well done. Not that I have been to other ICBE events to compare it with as this was my first time to attend one (partially) but I have to say I was very impressed. I never realised that the hand and body movements in our dances symbolised certain meanings, seasons, and other stages in our culture. Thank you for the elaboration and clarification of these movements. There was a lot I learned. It is, I believe, our duty to be well informed about the gestures and movements in our dances and to pass these information to give more importance and meaning to our dances. I realised our dances are not just for fun or entertainment after all, but depicts also our way of life. Thank you MABIKAS for highlighting this.

I finally had the chance to meet you Manang Yvonne and also be reunited with my friend Susan Kilakil Agnaonao, after more than 30 yrs! I was also happy to meet folk and kin from Sagada. The ICBE 2019 Anniversary celebrations in the Netherlands has encouraged me to attend the ICBE 2021 in Madrid if only to learn more and share knowledge about our rich culture. We can only preserve our culture by continuing to know more about its origins, practising it, and handing that knowledge to the next generation.
