Bebsat San Kaigorotan
Lyrics and music: Mr. Francis Cayasen
Bebsat san kaigorotan,
Nilaylayad en Kabunyan,
Manipud pay laeng sin kaysan,
Babaen den kaapuan.
Si Kabunyan intedna han ugali,
Pakailasinan di puli,
Djan sursuro ay nasudi,
‘Di ibain wenno ipakni.
Dad sursuro ken adal,
Moderno man ken kadaanan,
Adina koma dangranan,
Kultura ay kapintasan.
No baybay-am din kultura,
Mapukaw mo ladawan dadama,
Malipatamto met no sinno ka,
San rugin di istorya.
Dad adu ay ugali,
Ayug, sala, panangsangaili,
Kooperasyon ken budbudong,
Alikam di biag ay nabanor.
San ugali entako pili-en,
Namnama’y entako aywanan,
Nangruna no maiparbeng,
San layus nan panawen.
Edwani ay waday I C B E,
Entako makitapi,
Maki-adal si ug-ugali,
‘San Kaigorotan ay ili.
Dongdong-ay si dong-ilay…. Insinalidummaay.

I modified the last paragraph to fit in to our ICBE gathering. The words in blue are mine. Thanks to Mr. Francis Cayasen for his talent in composing this song.
As to what I downloaded in the Google search, the last paragraph goes like this, “Edwani ay kakadwa, entako mankaykaysa, mangilaban si kultura, san Kaigorotan ay daga.”
This song was popularized by Fr. Sammy Maximo from Benguet but the reason I looked for this song at the end of the conference was because of our topic on Benguet. In a video documentary made about this song, I saw that there were requests among respondents to have an Ibaloi version of this song.
