My vision is deteriorating.
My teeth are loose and falling out.
My hearing isn't what it used to be.
And my knees wobble every time I stand.
By the time I arrive at my retirement,
Gone is my dream of enjoyment.

“Is this how I’m meant to arrive?
The thought of a lump sum has vanished.

Now I understand why those who retired
keep working around the clock.
It’s just an alibi when they say, ‘Stay active, honey, otherwise, you grow old quickly.’”
So, I say to you, dear young ones:
“Do your job well, but always guard your health,
because we cannot foretell the future.
At this rate, one day they might say,
“You can only retire when you turn eighty.”
