Dear All,

I arrived the other day. Spent two more days with my cousin, Mary, We had a lot of catching up to do. On the 23rd of May, we went on a north coast tour and I saw more of the green and rugged isle.

Last Tuesday (22nd of May), during a dinner with some BIBAK Ireland members, I learned that Eryl Aragones is my niece, so with Cheryl. Their mothers are my second degree cousins (paternal side). What a small world.

Meanwhile, I would like to congratulate once again BIBAK Ireland for the well-planned consultation and the activities before and after. I realized while listening to Caridad’s lecture that there is always something to learn on Igorot culture, even if sometimes I think I know much already. I enjoyed the music of the Irish singers and the dances of the young girls. And I'll especially mention the pre-and post-consultation dinners, where I savored the salmon and pinikpikan, respectively.

I also want to thank our host for attending to the arrangements before and after the consultation – fetching us at the airport, bringing us to Tipperary and back to Dublin. And to Ben, Francis, Tomas and company for hosting us in Tipperary. Finally, to Jane and Judith, thank you for driving us to the Cliffs of Moher.

My hope is for BIBAK Ireland to grow and that through the consultation, our kakailians will join the organization (if they have not yet.)

I think everyone is still processing their experiences in Ireland . While memories are still fresh, you may want to write your impressions of the consultation and the post-consultation activity. You may send these to me and I'll include them in the Proceedings.

That’s it from me – for now.

Sha chi,

Yvonne
